Summary:
This superb house, originally dating back to the 12th century, has been beautifully and sympathetically restored by the owners. There is an excellent large kitchen and cave area, a wonderful spacious lounge and wooden beams throughout.

Set in 7 hectares of meadow (approx. 18 acres), bordered by a stream and trees, it is within walking distance of the River Dordogne and 5 minutes drive to canoe rental for exploring one of the most beautiful rivers in France. The charming medieval town of Martel, with its twice-weekly traditional covered market, is close by, as are some of the best regional restaurants in the surrounding villages and towns.

It is a most attractive and unusual house, the rooms are long and spacious and, although having only 2 double bedrooms (situated on the second floor) areas on the ground and first floors can be discreetly screened off to provide extra sleeping accommodation on comfortable double sofa beds with bathrooms and WCs on each floor. Visitors to this lovely house will understand why further bedrooms could not be formed without spoiling the whole ambience and charm of the property. A beautifully furnished and very well equipped house.

Superb situation, very secluded and quiet without being remote from restaurants and activities. The whole area is full of amazing birds and wild-life, ideal for nature lovers and a photographer’s paradise.

Vayrac 5km, Martel 8km, Rocamadour approx 20kms, Souillac 25km, Sarlat 45 minutes, Carennac 10 minutes.

A charming, picturesque cottage, off a tiny lane, furnished in very French style, and set in a delightful garden forming privacy for guests and offering peace and tranquility.

Situated only 3km from the superb and popular market town of Les Eyzies with its shops, cafes, weekly market and some of the best reataurants in the region.

The owner has a separate, tiny, house at the lower end of the garden which does not overlook the cottage. He will offer a warm welcome, but respects the privacy of his guests at all times.

The town of Le Bugue is about 10 minutes drive away and is another very popular and attractive meeting place with a twice weekly market, supermarkets, tennis court and a myriad of other attractions.

Situated high in the beautiful hills of the department of the Lot, above the village of Concores, lies a superbly converted old, stone built barn, with oak beams, full of charm and character, set in extensive grounds, with fantastic views, particularly from the delightful swimming pool and sun deck, over woods, open fields and countryside.

St Germain du Bel Air is approximately 5kms distant; a charming village with a supermarket, general shops and Plan d'Eau.

The main town is Gourdon (15kms) which is a medieval market town full of shops, supermarkets restaurants, and pavement cafes.

The property is ideally placed for visiting all the attractions of the virtually unexplored department of the Lot, the beautiful Dordogne region and perfect for a calm, tranquil and peaceful holiday. Highly recommended by Poolside.

The charming small towns of Salviac and Cazals are within easy driving distance as are the larger medieval market towns of Sarlat and Gourdon. Prehistoric caves, colourful villages, fairytale chateaux, beautiful rivers and interesting vineyards are not far away and well worth exploring.

A wonderful holiday location for both adults and children and highly recommended by Poolside.
