Summary:
Situated in a small hamlet, not far from the delightful village of St Julien de Lampon and close to one of the most beautiful rivers in France, La Dordogne, there is an extremely charming barn converted to a very high standard. It is decorated in fresh, pretty colours making it a most inviting holiday home full of light and sunshine. The attention to detail is superb and the kitchen, although tiny, is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need - it is quite a feature! The bathrooms/shower rooms are exquisitely tiled.

In the grounds of the owners house, which is an old, converted Presbytery next to the cemetery, guests should not be worried about lack of privacy as the owners house (which is about 10m away) can only be seen from one side of the cottage. The sunny terrace, private, heated, salt water swimming pool, huge gardens and walnut orchard are at the far side of the cottage and not overlooked.

The main railway line from Paris to Toulouse is beyond the extensive gardens but does not detract in any way from the utter peace and quiet of this delightful cottage (on our inspection, a train passed by, and we did not find the noise intrusive). Within walking distance of the cottage is a newly opened Auberge/Restaurant, which looks charming although we have not had a chance to sample the fare - yet!
