Summary: Situated in the picturesque hamlet of Carsac-Aillac, only 2kms from the charming, bustling village of Carsac itself and the beautiful River Dordogne, is a pretty, modern but French-styled stone cottage, sleeping 6, tastefully furnished, well equipped and maintained to a high standard by the current owners.
On a hill, overlooking a few other delightful properties, but not at all overlooked itself, it offers comfort and privacy and ideal for a typically French holiday.
The utterly fascinating, medieval town of Sarlat la Caneda, with its old squares and buildings, is not far away and offers a huge range of beautiful shops, pavement cafes, bars, restaurants, patisseries, boulangeries, chocolatiers and twice weekly market (each Wednesday and Saturday).
Carsac (2kms) is ideal for general shopping and access to the River Dordogne - try canoeing, a perfect way to see this superb river and the villages and chateaux along its banks.
Horse-riding, ballooning, beautiful chateaux, superb ornamental gardens, and prehistoric caves are all within easy driving distance.

Door from the Utility Room leads to the spacious outside back terrace, ideal for breakfast and evening dining with moveable gas BBQ, a very sunny terrace.

The cottage has a water softener system. Thus, water from the kitchen taps is not drinkable but there is a tap beside the fridge/freezer in the Utility Room for drinking water and is labelled - ideal for filling water bottles and placing in the fridge for ice cold water - essential for the hot summer days. The softener system also means that less soap is required in the washing machine.
