This is an exquisite, perfect nature reserve situated in the most beautiful countryside. It contains four delightful, old, isolated stone built cottages, none of which overlook each other to ensure privacy and seclusion, all with their own private gardens full of flowers and vegetable patches, which guests are invited to enjoy, and each with superb private swimming pools and saunas.

The properties are simply but tastefully furnished, well equipped and maintained to a high standard. All have access to a large tennis court, with facilities for practicing basket ball/netball, and horse riding (only competent horse riders, please). There is also a “hide” provided for bird watching, close to a lake, ideal for “twitchers” as the birds/wild life are amazing. An absolute haven for lovers of nature, artists - the surrounding countryside is fantastic and, when we visited early November, the trees were dressed in all their Autumn glory. The colours were exquisite.

Perfectly situated for discovering this beautiful region of France at its best. Wonderful walks, close to famous prehistoric caves and all the other splendid attractions such as Rocamadour and Sarlat. The nearest golf course is the Golf and Country Club at Souillac where all holiday visitors are welcome.

These properties are extremely popular and are usually booked very early for the peak season during the summer months – most visitors re-book for the following year. However, as the properties have under floor heating, they are ideal for autumn/winter/spring breaks when, we think, this region of the Dordogne is at it’s most beautiful. Because all are provided with saunas, they would be ideal for the cooler weather. The whole concept of this reserve is perfect for a superb holiday, in very different surroundings, with acres and acres of woodland, forests and countryside to explore.
