Self Catering Safari Lodge with Heated Swimming Pool, situated on the edge of the pretty village of St Medard, near the famous market town of Cahors in the Lot.

On the edge of the very pretty hamlet of St Medard, deep in the country, this brand new self catering Safari Lodge is situated in a haven of greenery on a slightly higher level to the owners house and has lovely views of the village rooftops. The Lodge is fully furnished, very well equipped and ideally situated for exploring this wonderful region of France. Situated in the grounds of the owners own house, the Lodge has its own parking area and guests would be quite private.
The heated swimming pool is situated on a higher level and slightly away from the holiday lodge itself. Access to the swimming pool is along a slightly uneven pathway. The pool is shared with the guests staying in the gîte and studio apartment and is open between June and mid September.
St Medard is a delightful hamlet where you will find a famous restaurant called Le Gindreau and the food is exquisite, but expensive. A perfect setting for that very special occasion. The nearest village for general shopping is Catus which has a bustling, lively market every Tuesday and a large, pretty lake for boating and swimming. The bustling, medieval town of Cahors, situated on the river Lot, is only 15km away.
This amazing self catering holiday lodge was built 2 years ago by the owners and is proving to be very popular with guests.
Special Offer: A reduction is available for 2 guests staying in the Lodge in May, June and September.
Accommodation at the Safari Lodge:
Entering through the main entrance gates, park in the allotted area and the holiday lodge is accessible via a path that winds up to the tent. A covered wooden terrace gives access to a casual outside dining area and relaxation area, consisting of a dining table, 4 chairs, a 2 seater wooden bench with cushions, 2 armchairs with cushions and a wooden coffee table.
The dining area leads into a well equipped kitchen with a hob, microwave, fridge freezer and sink.
The kitchen leads onto the two bedrooms, one with a double bed and a cupboard and shelves, and the second bedroom has bunk beds – a small double bed and a single bed above, accessed by a short metal ladder.
There is a shower room with enclosed shower and wash basin and a separate room for the toilet.

Payment is in Euros. A compulsory Taxe de Sejour will be payable to the owner and the amount depends on the length of stay and the number of adults over the age of 18 years.
Bed linen and towels hire is 20 euros per person. The final cleaning fee is 40 euros, payable directly to the owner.
Heating is included in the rental price.
A non-refundable 30% deposit of the total rental is required to reserve the booking. The final balance, together with a refundable damages deposit of 400€ (£350), is payable 8 weeks before the holiday is due to begin. Providing there is no serious damage to property, facilities or swimming pool, the damages deposit is returned approx. one week after the end of the rental period.
