On the edge of the very pretty hamlet of St Medard, deep in the country, this delightful self catering holiday cottage, with private heated swimming pool, is situated in a haven of greenery and nestled in superb gardens where the cicadas sing. The self catering holiday cottage is beautifully appointed with every attention to detail, fully furnished, extremely well equipped and ideally situated for exploring this wonderful region of France. Situated in the grounds of the owners own house, the holiday cottage has its own separate parking area and guests would be quite private. Ideally sleeping 4 guests with additional accommodation suitable for a child sleeping on the sofa bed. The owners are very happy to welcome you with a local aperitif.
The private heated swimming pool is a particular feature situated on a higher level and slightly away from the holiday cottage itself. It has an amazing cover which can be opened so that the swimming pool is half roofed for cooler days and slides right back to make the pool completely open for those long, sunny days of summer. The cover is extremely simple and easy to use and the pool should be left covered and locked when no-one is swimming. Access to the private swimming pool is gained through a lockable gate, thus ensuring young children can run around the garden in safety.
St Medard is a delightful hamlet where you will find a famous restaurant called Le Gindreau where one can eat on the terrace overlooking fantastic views and the food is exquisite, but expensive. A perfect setting for that very special occasion. The nearest village for general shopping is Catus which has a bustling, lively market every Tuesday and a large, pretty lake for boating and swimming. The bustling, medieval town of Cahors, situated on the river Lot, is only 15km away.
This delightful self catering holiday cottage is extremely popular with all our clients and usually gets booked up early for the following summer season. If you would like to book this property for your holiday in 2020 please contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The owners also have a large, beautifully appointed room attached to their house, which they use for bed and breakfast which, if available, could also be used to accommodate 2 further guests.

Accommodation at the Holiday Cottage:
Through the entrance gates the holiday cottage is approached via a staircase to the front door which opens into:
A comfortable lounge/dining area containing comfortable seating, dining table and chairs and built in cupboards. The sofa can be converted into a bed if required.

Bed linen and personal towels are included in the rental price. Swimming pool towels are not provided.
If heating is required there will be an additional weekly charge of 70 Euros payable directly to the owners.
A non-refundable 30% deposit of total rental is required to reserve the booking. The final balance, together with a refundable damages deposit of 375€ (£300), is payable 8 weeks before the holiday is due to begin. Providing there is no serious damage to property, facilities or swimming pool, the damages deposit is returned approx. one week after the end of the rental period.
