Lovingly restored Self Catering Holiday Cottage with Heated Swimming Pool, situated on the edge of the pretty village of St Medard, near the famous market town of Cahors in the Lot.

Le Mazet Holiday Cottage has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Sleeps up to 4 Guests plus a baby.

On the edge of the very pretty hamlet of St Medard, deep in the country, this delightful self catering holiday cottage, with heated swimming pool, is situated in a haven of greenery and nestled in superb gardens where the cicadas sing. The self catering holiday cottage is beautifully appointed with every attention to detail, fully furnished, extremely well equipped and ideally situated for exploring this wonderful region of France. Situated in the grounds of the owners own house, the holiday cottage has its own parking area and guests would be quite private. Ideally sleeping 4 guests plus a baby.

The heated swimming pool is situated on a higher level and slightly away from the holiday cottage itself. Access to the swimming pool is through a lockable gate, thus ensuring young children can run around the garden in safety. The pool is open from June to mid September and is also shared with guests staying in the apartment and lodge (these properties are listed separately) . Please note that the path to the pool is slightly uphill and the ground is a little uneven.

St Medard is a delightful hamlet where you will find a famous restaurant called Le Gindreau where one can eat on the terrace overlooking fantastic views and the food is exquisite, but expensive. A perfect setting for that very special occasion. The nearest village for general shopping is Catus which has a bustling, lively market every Tuesday and a large, pretty lake for boating and swimming. The bustling, medieval town of Cahors, situated on the river Lot, is only 15km away.

This delightful self catering holiday cottage is extremely popular with all our clients and usually gets booked up early for the following summer season. If you would like to book this property for your holiday in 2025 please contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

If you are a party of up to 10 the owners have a large, beautifully appointed studio apartment which could be used to accommodate a further 2 guests and a safari type lodge than can sleep up to 4 additional guests. Further details for the apartment and lodge can be found on separate pages.

Accommodation at the Holiday Cottage:

Through the entrance gates the holiday cottage is approached via a staircase to the front door which opens into:
A comfortable lounge/dining area containing comfortable seating, dining table and chairs and built in cupboards.
Well equipped kitchen with everything you need for a self catering holiday.

From the dining area there is a door leading to:

En suite bathroom with enclosed shower, wash basin and toilet

From the lounge area a door leads to:
A very pleasant, sunny conservatory with sofa, table and chairs and with access to an outside decked terrace area with wooden table, chairs and large sun umbrella.

Rental Prices in Euros for Le Mazet Holiday Cottage, near Cahors

Extras:

A compulsory Taxe de Sejour will be payable to the owner and the amount depends on the length of stay and the number of adults over the age of 18 years.

Bed linen and towels can be hired for a rate of 20 euros per person payable directly to the owners.

End cleaning charge of 70 Euros payable directly to the owners.

A non-refundable 30% deposit of the total rental is required to reserve the booking. The final balance, together with a refundable security deposit of 400€ (£350), is payable 8 weeks before the holiday is due to begin. Providing there is no serious damage to property, facilities or swimming pool, the security deposit is returned approx. one week after the end of the rental period.
